Kaua’i Flood Relief Effort 2018

On April 15th, 2018, Kauai sustained the worst flash flood in national recorded history. 50 inches of rain fell in 24 hrs. Landslides caused road closures, leaving our friends and neighbors stranded north of Hanalei town. For 2 weeks Na Pali Catamaran canceled all tours and donated our entire operation to those relief efforts. We are so grateful for the support of the passengers we had to cancel during that time. Those people live aloha.

We are once again open for business, but we have been forced to navigate through many logistical problems trying to get back on track. We lost our shuttle boat and the flood tore out a large section of Weke Rd. We no longer have access to our usual staging area and our passengers currently must walk a 1/2 mile along the beach to our vessel. So far, everyone is enjoying the walk. But it does rain on Kauai (!) so please bring a rain jacket/umbrella. We are currently looking at alternate sites and we are happy to refund all booked passengers unable or unwilling to make the walk.

With much aloha,
Na Pali Catamaran
