Our #1 Rated Tours

Kauai has countless natural places of beauty to experience. Allow us to show you the most beautiful parts of some of the most spectacular and dramatic coastline on Earth while maintaining comfort, safety, and adventure simultaneously.

Our 35′ aluminum power catamaran, Kamahele Kai II, is small enough to enter Na Pali’s famous sea caves, yet large enough to be comfortable. Unlike other tour boats that enter the sea caves, our vessel features a bathroom, shade, adequate seating, and room to walk around freely. Even at full capacity, it is not overcrowded.

Morning Tour

The Morning Na Pali Tour starts with check-in at 6:45 am. No better way to start your day in paradise! It may be a little cooler than our afternoon tour so bring a windbreaker just in case. We depart Hanalei Bay around 7:30 and return approximately 4 hours later at around 11:30. Snorkel equipment and floatation devices are provided, as well as a waterproof drybag.

Included in this tour are stops at or inside of sea caves*, cliffs, beaches, and valleys, with informational and historical narrative along the way.  If we see wildlife (potentially whales, dolphins, sea turtles, monk seals, rays, and goats,) we stop for some time to provide photo opportunities. We provide drinks, snacks, a deli sandwich, and about 45 minutes of snorkeling*.

*Please note that we do not guarantee snorkeling or entrance into sea caves. Our goal is always to provide the best tour possible, given the day’s weather and ocean conditions. Safety is priority #1.

Kipu Kai

The Kipu Kai Tour starts with check-in at 7:45 am. Whether visiting for your first time, or as a long-time return traveller, this tour is a must-do! For visitors descending into Lihue Airport on a trade wind day, Kipu Kai’s sandy beaches, bay, and rugged coastline are their first glimpse of the magic that is Kauai. Being so secluded and privately owned, most people never see it besides from the window of their aircraft.

Films such as Jurassic Park: Lost World, The Descendants, Six Days/Seven Nights, Hook, and Raiders of the Lost Ark feature scenes shot here. This area, between Lihue and Poipu is fantastic for whale watching during our whale season (November through March) when the surf is normally too big for boating on the north shore. We also stop at the famous but difficult-to-access Maha’ulepu on our way to Poipu. We depart exclusively Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor around 8:00 am and return approximately 3.5 hours later.

Included in this tour are stops at cliffs, beaches, and valleys, with informational and historical narrative along the way.  If we see wildlife (potentially whales, dolphins, sea turtles, monk seals, rays, and goats,) we stop to provide photo opportunities. Convenient Na Pali Departure Point

Leaving Hanalei Bay you reach the Na Pali in about 15 minutes. Along the way, you pass some premier windsurfing, kiteboarding, and local surf spots before arriving at the Na Pali Coast.

Other tours originating from Port Allen take hours of travel to get to and from the Na Pali while seeing only a fraction of the beauty that the Na Pali Coast has to offer. Our tours get you there fast so that you have time to leisurely experience the best of Na Pali Coast! To see what we mean take a look at the map. Port Allen tours are represented by the red line and our tour is represented by the green line. We begin our Kipu Kai tours with super easy access to our vessel and just minutes from the airport and several major hotels.*

We require that all passengers who use sunscreen use reef-safe sunscreen. Many sunscreens have chemicals harmful to our fragile coral reefs.

  • How sunscreen chemicals enter our environment: The sunscreen you apply may not stay on your skin. When we swim, sunscreen may wash off and enter our coastal waters.
  • How sunscreen chemicals can affect marine life:
    • Coral: Accumulates in tissues. Can induce bleaching, damage DNA, deform young, and even kill.
    • Mussels: Can induce defects in young.
    • Sea Urchins: Can damage immune and reproductive systems, and deform young.
    • Fish: Can decrease fertility and reproduction, and cause female characteristics in male fish.
    • Dolphins: Can accumulate in tissue and be transferred to young.
  • Chemicals in sunscreens that can harm marine life include: Oxybenzone, Benzophenone-1, Benzophenone-8, OD-PABA, 4-Methylbenzylidene camphor, 3-Benzylidene camphor, nano-Titanium dioxide, nano-Zinc oxide.

PLEASE NOTE: Check-in times are strict. Actual times for tour departure, return, snorkeling, and duration are approximate. We do not guarantee snorkeling, wildlife, or entrance into sea caves. Our goal is always to provide the best tour possible, given the day’s weather and ocean conditions. Safety is priority #1.
