Our #1 Rated Tours

Kauai has countless natural places of beauty to experience. A sea tour adventure down the stunning Na Pali Coast from Hanalei Bay is the crown jewel of them all. We will take you to the most beautiful parts of one of the most spectacular coastlines on Earth.

Our 35′ aluminum power catamaran, Kamahele Kai II, is small enough to enter Na Pali’s famous sea caves, yet large enough to be comfortable. Unlike other tour boats that enter the sea caves, our vessel features a bathroom, shade, adequate seating, and room to walk around freely. Even at full capacity, it is not overcrowded.

Na Pali Catamaran - Morning

Morning Tour

The Morning Tour starts with check-in at 6:45 am. No better way to start your day in paradise! It may be a little cooler than our afternoon tour so bring a sweater just in case. We depart Hanalei Bay around 7:30 and return approximately 4 hours later at around 11:30. Snorkel equipment and floatation devices are provided, as well as a waterproof drybag.

Included in this tour are stops at or inside of sea caves*, cliffs, beaches, and valleys, with informational and historical narrative along the way.  If we see wildlife (there is potential to see whales, dolphins, sea turtles, monk seals, rays, and goats,) we stop for some time to appreciate them and provide photo opportunities. We provide drinks, snacks, a deli sandwich, and about 45 minutes of snorkeling*.

*Please note that we do not guarantee snorkeling or entrance into sea caves. Our goal is always to provide the best tour of Na Pali Coast possible, given the day’s weather and ocean conditions. Safety is priority #1.

Convenient Departure Point

Leaving Hanalei Bay you reach the Na Pali in about 15 minutes. Along the way, you pass some premier windsurfing, kiteboarding, and local surf spots before arriving at the Na Pali Coast.

Other tours originating from Port Allen take hours of travel to get to and from the Na Pali and then they only see a fraction of the beauty that the Na Pali Coast has to offer. Our tours get you there fast so that you have time to leisurely experience the best of Na Pali Coast! To see what we mean take a look at the map. Port Allen tours are represented by the red line and our tour is represented by the green line. We start right at the fun!

Important Tour Information

The April 2018 flood destroyed the road we use to get to our departure point, so we now shuttle our passengers as far as we can go and walk the beach the rest of the way (about a 15-minute walk — up to 3/4 mile, sometimes less). Please keep this in mind when making your reservation. Unfortunately, there is no way around this – the walk is absolutely required at this time. If you already have a tour booked and cannot do the walk, please call us immediately and we will cancel and refund your tour. We would also like to note that you must be prepared to get wet on our tours, even if you chose not to swim or snorkel. While you can stay dry on our boat, for the most part, there is always a chance of being splashed. Hanalei can be rainy, so please be prepared to walk in the rain — we suggest you bring a cover-up and/or rain jacket.

The waters along Kauai’s north shore and the Na Pali Coast can be very rough at times and can change quickly. This is an adventure tour and is not suitable for everyone. Seasickness precautions are always recommended for all passengers – even on the calmest days.

We require that all passengers who use sunscreen use reef-safe sunscreen. Many sunscreens have chemicals harmful to our fragile coral reefs.

  • How sunscreen chemicals enter our environment: The sunscreen you apply may not stay on your skin. When we swim, sunscreen may wash off and enter our coastal waters.
  • How sunscreen chemicals can affect marine life:
    • Coral: Accumulates in tissues. Can induce bleaching, damage DNA, deform young, and even kill.
    • Mussels: Can induce defects in young.
    • Sea Urchins: Can damage immune and reproductive systems, and deform young.
    • Fish: Can decrease fertility and reproduction, and cause female characteristics in male fish.
    • Dolphins: Can accumulate in tissue and be transferred to young.
  • Chemicals in sunscreens that can harm marine life include: Oxybenzone, Benzophenone-1, Benzophenone-8, OD-PABA, 4-Methylbenzylidene camphor, 3-Benzylidene camphor, nano-Titanium dioxide, nano-Zinc oxide.

PLEASE NOTE: Check-in times are strict. Actual times for tour departure, return, snorkeling, and duration are approximate.
